This project is a 4322 SqFt 3 level contemporary private home built on a 50′ X 130″ lot with a steep grade from South to North focusing the entire North exposure of the home (3 stories of windows) to the city of Vancouver, North Shore Mountains & Burrard Inlet.
No expense was spared when creating this private custom home for the current owners. 4296 Quesnel Drive is located on the West Side of Vancouver in a neighbourhood call Mackenzie Heights. This is one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in the city of Vancouver as it offers amazing vantage points over the city (like the subject property offers) & puts you in the catchment areas of the top schools in the province.
This project was one that the owners & architect worked very closely together on to give the contemporary design of this “reverse plan” (open concept living/dining/kitchen/family room on the top level & master bedroom on the second level) home the most usable square footage possible while keeping the uniqueness of the design alive. All while utilizing the building-lots grade & exposure as best as
possible.

Materials & systems used in this home were the best available, the home offers a arced zinc room, hardy board siding, exposed arced glulam (glued laminated wood) feature beams as ribbed to the ceiling of the upper entertaining level, radiant hot-water flooring throughout, forced air (heating & air con) throughout, HCV system throughout.
The final result being this amazing contemporary design with its very own unique personality in the neighbourhood.
